Had a great workout today, which was focused around straight arm progressions.
I had already forgotten what it was like to workout at 30+ °C. But summer is awesome.
So while sipping my post workout meal (milk soaked cereals with two scoops of whey protein) I rewatched the the Men's Still Rings finals from the 2011 Chinese National Gymnastics Championships, which took place last month.
Look it those incredible athletes and their perfect form. Yibing's hollow body position, the ease and speed of his transitions between skills is simply stunning.
Pure domination.

1. Chen Yibing Tianjin 6.8; 8.975 ; 15.775
1. Yan Mingyong Shanghai 6.9; 8.875 ; 15.775
3. Liao Junlin Guangxi 6.8; 8.725 ; 15.525
4. Luo Xuan Hubei 6.8; 8.550; 15.350
5. Liao Qiuhua Guangdong 6.7; 8.525 ; 15.225
6. Guo Weiyang Liaoning 6.5; 8.650 ; 15.150
7. Liu Yang Army 6.5; 8.525 ; 15.025
8. Tao Zhuyong Army 6.5; 8.250 ; 14.750
So in the end both, Yibing and Mingyong shared first place. Will Mingyong take first in the 2012 Olympics? I think it's possible. But of course Yibing and the Russians are also strong enough to take first place. It's all a matter of staying injury free.
