2018 European Junior & Under 23 Weightlifting Championships

October 21, 2018 By Gregor Winter

Currently happening in Poland are the European Junior (u20) & Under 23 Championships.

With Worlds 2018 being so close, we will see some familiar names (like Rebeka Koha, Simon Martirosyan, Mirko Zanni & co) competing here, who will also compete in both events.

Why are they using old (better) weight category? It is brilliant (NOT) to have this meet two weeks before Worlds.

It’s a good max out before the main competition of the year. Some just go up to max in the snatch and stay reasonable in the c&j. For example Andranik Karapetyan. I expect the same from Simon Martirosyan.

Floria Hulpan is gonna be very good I think – given a couple of years.
