Donny Shankle makes a point for slow negative pulls.

And boy, he really means slow. 10 count slow.

Benefits:

  • strengthens back arch
  • improves ability to stay over the bar longer -> puts you in a powerful position to “finish” as violently as possible -> get under the bar quicker
  • great way to tackle the dreaded stripper pull (hips rising faster than shoulders)
