If this guy had working legs we would see a 267 CJ.

Holy fuck. Quite literally this is the most impressive feat of strength i have ever seen. Back flat on bench, no leg drive, even extension, deliberate pause, no lift off, and most impressive of all raw and 15 pounds away from the non paraplegic world record. The frightening thing is his training lifts at home are probably in excess of the non paraplegic world record. Without a shred of doubt, he is greatest bencher that ever lived.

Greatest bencher of all time, that was absolutely ridiculous. If he was not paralyzed he would be the greatest strength athlete of all time.

This is not 320 kg! Relatively easy to see that it’s 5×25’s + 10kg + 2.5 + collar = 300 kg. This was done in the training hall at the paralympics, my friend watched it and have another video of it. Rahmand competed 3 days later and missed 301 kg I believe, so it’s pretty obvious he is not blasting 20 kg more a few days earlier! Nevertheless, still arguably the best bencher in the world.

Plus the 0.5kg white plates on the end. Hard to judge though. You need to look, around the 9-10 second mark, could just be the steel glimmer of the collar.

I wonder why he put 320kg on his Facebook though?

      I love how there’s a Russian spotting too 😀
