Aramnau out of Olympics

July 24, 2012 By Gregor Winter

What a bummer, Andrei Aramnau is not competing in London.

He apparently pulled a muscle in his thigh and says that there is no way he is going to lift at the Olympics.

“I was in great shape, but for whatever reason my coach had asked me to compete in a meaningless competition, where I first suffered the injury,” he said.

“Then this weekend, in my last competition before leaving for London, I tried to jerk a record weight and just aggravated it. That was it, the Olympics are now over for me.”

Lets remember the good times.

210kg snatch from blocks for almost a double

240kg Jerk x3

he was competing a couple weeks before he would’ve been on the olympic stage? This is not even the ‘meaningless one’ impressive
major dissapointment, watching aramnau lift is a pleasure

Wonder what comp that was at?

      Cup of Belarus? https://allthingsgym.com/2012/03/andrei-aramnau-training-for-london-2012/

But this seems to be too far in the past.

    I sense a tenuous athlete-coach relationship

Something seems to be awfully wrongs there.

Remember this interview where he said: “Very, very unhappy with his current coach”

The orate 105’s now have a shot at gold. Bummer, with a better head Aramnau would be unbeatable.

I think they had a pretty good chance for gold beforehand.
