October 12, 2013 By Gregor Winter

Clint Darden sat down to interview Norik Vardanian.

I posted this to the ATG Facebook yesterday, but since then it was submitted multiple times too. So why not post it here for everyone to see.

Part 1 is about how Norik got started with weightlifting, as well as his error of training too heavy too often.

In Part 2 below he talks about the differences in Armenian vs. American weightlifting mentality/conditions.

Update: Norik’s Opinion on How to Teach Beginners

  • no bar body contact at first
  • know how to miss a weight
  • lot of Overhead Squats for flexibility

Update: In the next part he talks about Basic Training vs Competition Preparation.

On his father Yurik Vardanian, Olympics, Mental Toughness.

Update: Norik on Knee Pain.

Update: Norik on his Father, Failures, and Success Stories

Filed Under: interviews, Norik Vardanian, videos, weightlifting
