Door Frame Pull Up Bar Trick To Avoid Damages

November 23, 2011 By Gregor Winter

Here is a DIY fix if you want to use one of those door frame pull up bars, but don’t want to damage your door frame or leave any marks.

Just put some styrofoam or something similar on the ends of the bar.

If you don’t care about your wall and don’t have a door frame just use some nails 🙂

no offence, but if someone doesn't mind putting ugly nails across their wall, chances are they probably wouldn't give a shit about minor dents on their door frame.

I read that the thickness of the door frame has to be a certain size for the pull up bar to hold, doesn’t the styrofoam make it unstable?

It’s easier to patch up drywall then a wood door frame
