Anyone know what weight he is now? If he do this after travelling the world teaching, surely he would dominate the 105s after training for it?

Cheers! That makes sense. Looking lean for a super-heavy.

He is not close to be nr 1 or 2 in Russia, most of the fans think he is. But the fact is that Russia have 4-6 lifters in 105kg that is better then klokov the last years. If klokov still was the best he would be lifting at the worlds. Klokov is most of the time 115-120kg and is a lot over 105kg. And all the lifts he is puting out on Facebook and YouTube are exercises that he is good at. That is why you dont see him do a lot of heavy clean and jerks or squats. I dont have anything agenst klokov, but for klokov it is all about the money and geting good pr markeding for him self.

And klokov cant be a part of the team of Russia in Rio, there is a rule from IWF that tell athletes cant go if they dont have 2 competitions that are olympic qualification from 2014 to 2016. As he have done 0 he cant start at the olympics.

don’t spread falsehoods like “he is 115-120” most of the time. It’s simply not true.

Does the Presidents Cup 2016 count as a qualifier for Rio?

I hope he gets his c&j up too for rio.
Would be awesome to see him put up a total above ilya and others from the Rio training hall.

It is much harder to get up the clean and jerk than to maintain the snatch. He can still jerk a lot. There is a video of him jerking 245, but it is a different story to do that in one movement. I agree it would be sort of fun, but most likely won’t happen.

I know this. I don’t think it would be possible for him to put up such a high total in competition.

Is a Pause Snatch really harder than a hang snatch ? What’s the main difference ?

Well, it’s not a very comfortable position to hold (the pause at the knee) and it kind of kills a bit the speed of your 2nd pull
