Meanwhile in Russia …

22 year old Evgeny Kolomiets (180kg Snatch here) jerks 230kg from the rack.

In April he competed in a meet in Moscow and got 2nd place with 175 + 210 at 90.55kg bodyweight. I guess he is still growing into that weight class.

Update 24.12.2013: Because it was a repeat violation, Evgeny was banned for 10 years. (via)

The 2011 junior world championships silver medalist (along with Selyutina George) tested positive during a test in the training camp in Chekhov.

    Any new videos of this dude C&J would be appreciated. His clean technique is smooth with a lightning rigid catch, a personal favorite. Jerk not so much….The new breed of Russian lifters is all class. The coach who is applying this new technique and phasing out the old is a smart man. Does anyone have a video of the competition mentioned above?

    He`s one of my favorites, such a freak going under the bar.
    I remember seeing him CJ 170kg for a triple he made it look like 70kg
