2012 Asian Weightlifting Championships 85kg w/ Moradi, Rostami, Hyouk

January 17, 2015 By Gregor Winter

Hookgrip got his hands on some 2012 Asian Championships footage.

Previously I only posted a couple of clips of Behdad Salimi.

So it’s nice to see how the 85kg guys performed there.

Just a heads up, the video ends after Sa’s 213kg attempt…there are no attempts at 216 by the Iranian lifters.

I should have read that before. Was pumped to see a 216 clean and jerk. When i saw it end my erection deflated to the sound of windows 98 shutting down. Very impressed with the Iraqi lifter however.

There is a misprint on the web result chart. Sohrab Moradi’s 2nd snatch attempt was 172 kg’s not 170 kg. He went after Kianoush’s 2nd attempt at 172 kg.

      Thanks, fixed.

When in 2012 would this have been? Sah was still a 77 at London so the timeline seems a bit off.

Nah it just means he didn’t make weight to fit in 77kg for this comp.

Oh woops lol, should have been clear if I looked at the weight chart.
