Derek Poundstone Curls 350 Reps

September 19, 2012 By Gregor Winter

Have 8 minutes time?

In the 200 rep post Paul Carter jokingly said:

No longer will they be known as Poundstone Curls. From now on, they will be known as Carter curls since, as far as I know, no one has ever put up 2 bills with the empty bar before.

Well, Derek Poundstone must have been reading along.

Here he does curls with a 40 lb axle bar for ~350 reps.

Pain tolerance training indeed. Get some!

That was kind of pointless lol. Also that gut is looking pretty bad I think he always did better when he tried to stay leaner and not to try compete with the strongman monsters who just have a much larger frame then him. He is on the shorter side of strongman and should use his agility/speed more to his advantage instead of trying to be too large where it hurts his performance.

Training those doughnut eating muscles. This was part of his cop training not strongman.

Were his biceps even moving? Those look more like shoulder raises. Seriously, the angle of his elbow isn’t even changing.
