Kendrick Farris 211kg Clean and Jerk

July 9, 2012 By Gregor Winter

Kendrick Farris is on track with a 211kg Clean and Jerk.

Update: Ok, the video is a bit older. I was not sure… if I had seen it before. I think it was on YouTube a while ago, but was taken down and now reappeared. Still a nice lift to start the week with.

Thanks to the anonymous submitter.

Update: Short news bit about Kendrick.

Are you sure this  isn’t the video from two years ago???

I wasn’t sure, I remembered seeing a 211 on YT a while back. But when I searched for it it was gone. So I Thought the FB upload was new.

Yeh, his facebook page said this was from a year and a half ago.. Hopefully he can replicate something close in the Olympics!

      Thanks for pointing that out.

He took a lot of his lifts down off youtube earlier in the year only to re-upload or “show” them to the public again.

Might be a dumb question but is there any way Kendrick could make 77kg w/out sacrificing too much strength?

Doubt it. Kendrick is one of the leaner US weightlifters. He does not have much fat to lose left.

I like this guy alot, hopefully he can bring some honor back to US weightlifting. I’m not a big fan of the squat jerk he employs but to each is own and I guess he’s comfortable with it. The split jerk seems to me to be the best technique though Dimas could rock a power jerk like noones business
