From the 2014 World Championships …

Here is Kim Un Guk’s (62kg, North Korea) 150kg Gold Medal Snatch.

4kg off his 154kg World Record Snatch which he set six weeks earlier at the 2014 Asian Games.

Trivia:

  • 150kg is the same weight he won with in 2011 and 2013 and the heaviest all-time in Snatch in this category at world championships.
  • No other lifter has won successive Snatch events in Men’s 62kg at worlds.
  • His 325kg Total is the highest in worlds history, 2.5kg heavier than the previous best mark set by Halil Mutlu in 2003.
