Kuo’s 0-106kg Snatch Warm Up from 2019 Worlds

Here’s a new video that’s guaranteed to put a smile on your face: Kuo Hsing-chun’s entire snatch warm up from the 2019 Worlds! Is there anything more satisfying than watching her effortlessly work through muscle snatches, power snatches, and full snatches?

In this video she goes from the empty bar up to 106kg on her third attempt, providing a great insight into her warm up and platform approach. You can see, for example, that as the competition progresses she adjusts her rest strategy in between sets: she often gives herself two or three minutes of rest but when she needs to pick up the pace she has no problem taking heavy attempts only a minute apart.

That’s the kind of shape you want to be in for competition!

The regular version of this video has commentary by Dr Boffa; if you’d prefer a no-commentary version, we also have one available.

As always, thank you for your support! We hope you’re all doing well and are as excited as we are about more in-person competitions in the weeks and months to come!

-Gregor and Dr Boffa
