Tsunami Bar Squats

March 11, 2012 By Gregor Winter

John Meadows tests the prototype of the Tsunami Bar. Maybe not the best name and date to introduce this bar. But it looks like a fun piece of equipment.

This is a prototype of a new bar called a Tsunami bar. It has a patent pending and should be available in 4 to 5 weeks at elitefts.

This is similar to the bamboo bar in that it works by using oscillating kinetic energy.

There have been some preliminiary studies done on it with benching, and it increased muscle activation by 20%. We thought we would try it on squats today. You definitely have to be in control as you can see i the video.

I plan on doing these a few weeks in a row to see how my legs react to them.
