you’ve got to be joking.. fml
btw why is her snatch and clean and jerk numbers like that when she can squat this?

Because squatting big doesn’t guarantee you big competition lifts.

Not to sound like a “hater” but the coach is clearly grabbing the bar while spotting. That inflates squat numbers by quite a bit. I’ve spotted by just barely touching the bar at the right time in the sticking spot (less than her coach) and my training partner has squatted 10-20kg+ more than she should have.

This is essentially the definition of an internet “hater”. Ok, subtract 10-20 kg – it’s still impressive.

I was just refering as to why her back squat number is high in comparison to snatch etc…
It would be impressive even if we took off 40kgs, there’s no denying she’s world class strong.

Her numbers are fine according to Soviet research. If the max FS is 80% of the BS, then that means she should FS about 145. Given that, most OLers CJ about 80% of what they FS leading to 116 CJ. The snatch has historically been about 80% of the CJ which results in a 93kg snatch.

i’m not an expert in women’s weightlifting but i could imagine, that the difference between trainingcamps and tested competitions is even bigger..

i’ll just go and hide somewhere until i’m strong enough to compete with a 17kg lighter woman 🙁

Her numbers are not in line with her back squat because women lack upper body strength compared to men and most strength comes from their hips.

Ugh…how can something so impressive be so depressing :-/

She might be a lot stronger than me but… I think I am in love…

It’s fairly clear from looking at the video that the coach isn’t really assisting her in any significant way. Insane lift.

Thats a really weak ratio of backsquat relative to her total. I know Jenny arthur squats less than this and totals a good 20-25kg more.
