Everett Wade 261kg Squat at 82kg

October 16, 2012 By Gregor Winter

Awesome lifting video maker and ATG reader Everett Wade recently squatted 261kg (575lbs) at 82kg bodyweight.

Happened at the APA Big Iron Classic.

He prefaced it by saying:

Your readers might mock me for my use of monolift and knee wraps.

Hell no! I am mocking nobody that has a badass raw squat! In fact, I would never mock anybody that has the guts to step on a platform and compete. And if they happen to use a monolift at the competition then so be it.

He wanted to go for 272.5kg but botched his 2nd attempt.

On a side note: I think it might be the case that I am officially the weakest person reading my blog.

But hey, always good to surround yourself with stronger people. Motivation +1.

The monolift actually throws me off a little since I don’t train on one.
