Rostami attempted 227 at this competition aswell, racked it but could not stand.

227?? What was his actual score and what were his lifts? His body-weight? Do you know? Thanks

180 snatch and i read he “bombed out” at 227 on an iranian weightlifting account but i would think he had attempts before but i don’t know what they were. And he competed as a light 94 .

Thanks. I would also assume that he was a light 94. Question is whether he was something like 88kg or more like 91kg.

He was looking like 91ish because his weight gain looked recognizable. 3 more kilos does not cause a belly but 6-7 kilos differences would cause. He did not cut weight or he really wanted to move up to 94 kg? Or this is a preperation for new weight classes?

I don’t see why he would move to 94 with Moradi so strong there. It only makes sense for him to team up with Moradi to try to keep the 85kg and 94kg golds with Iran.

Or maybe he knows something we don’t. Maybe the new weight classes were leaked to them and they’re both adjusting upwards to fit the new classes…

Were you at the event, TheTurk? If not, do you have a link to the Rostami clip? Thanks.

Well, if Rostami wants another Olympic gold he will have to change either to 81 kg or to 96 kg, with neither option being an easy one. This is provided the new weight classes that were announced by IWF today on their website will be approved all the way.

He may moves to 90 kg.

He lost 225 kg two times and 185 kg snatch as well.

    Salimi got 205/245/450

    Barari 105: 186/226/412
    Hashemi 105: 182/229/411
    Solaimani 105: 184/227/411

So we are talking about Rostami when Sohrab lifted something truly wonderful here? Come on – if he could do this internationally that would be something like the great Blagoev’s or Solodov’s level.

LOL Yeah, cus it’s a given that 94 belongs to Moradi but Rostami has competition in 85.

Good lord. Would have beaten the 105 C&J record 4 years ago. Was he under 94 for this event?

Exactly when and where these league competitions took place? Is there any reference to find the results on the internet?
