Warrior Diet Modified for Athletes

July 10, 2011 By Gregor Winter

You have probably heard of the Warrior Diet by Ori Hofmekler.

Michael Keck wrote an article titled The Modified Warrior Diet.

He modified the Warrior diet to account for the specific goals of athletes, like maximum mass gain, strength and explosiveness.

Ori’s original Warrior Diet was based up on eating by feel, so there needed to be an emphasis on eating more protein and selectively timed carbohydrates, with a steady source of dietary fats.

Supplements like BCAA and hydrolyzed whey play an important role here, as you will see in the sample plans (also taking into account early morning workouts).

I personally am not a big fan of this diet, but there are  lots of people who have had great success recomposing their bodies with this approach.
