Om Yun Chol Clean & Jerk up to 160kg 2015 Worlds Training Hall

January 3, 2016 By Gregor Winter

Here is Om Yun Chol’s 160kg Clean & Jerk, which he did on November 17th, four days before he set the new world record of 171kg.

Update 03.01.2016: Here is his complete session working up to the 160kg.

It includes the Clean Pulls, Weighted Sit Ups and Strict Presses that he did after the 160. Also remember this is the same workout in which he snatched up to 120kg.

He may bulk up for 2019 Asian or World championships and see what he is capable of at 61 kg. I do not see any future for him in 55. I sure hope he can bulk up to about 61 kg and lift 135 + 180 to get on the Olympic podium.

2019 Championships are going to be good indication of what is the future of many categories in 2020.
