Snatch High Pulls with Bands

March 31, 2012 By Gregor Winter

Check out 2011 Pan American +105 kg Champion, Fernado Reis performing snatch high pulls with bands.

I haven’t seen Olympic lifters use bands for pulls before. Sure looks like a great exercise to get more explosive in the 2nd pull.

Here is how he attaches the bands to the bar.

Using bands can really throw off your timing on an Olympic lift. Using more weight would be a better tactic. It increases the resistance without compromising the crucial timing component

yea the Pan Am champ needs your help. Bands to me seem weird for the lifts but then again he is an international champ and who knows maybe there is more than one way to do things ; )

Didn’t Travis Mash try this in 06 or something?
