Squat RX Warm Up Exercises Mobility WOD

Of course you know Boris from Squat RX – one of the best squat instructions online.

If you haven’t already you should watch his entire series.

Below is Squat RX #5 in which Boris shows various warm up exercises.

Exercise List:

  • arm circles
  • hip circles
  • trunk twists
  • leg twists
  • swaying tree
  • dislocates
  • trunk twists with broom stick, pvc pipe
  • twisting while hanging from a chin up bar
  • cossacks squat
  • side lunges
  • regular lunges
  • windshield wipers supine
  • seated bent knee hurdle stretch for external rotators / IT band, “twist into leg”
  • side to side kneeling glute /IT band stretch (crossed legs, extended legs)
  • couch stretch /lean back to hit the hamstring
  • elevated leg hamstring stretch (ballet dancer stretch)
