The China Japan Korean Friendship tournament a.k.a. Tokyo 2020 Test Event is under way finished.
A 2 day competition with some big names on the start list (China sent their A squad).
Mixed performances (lots of misses, especially on the men’s side), but also a couple of new world record performances:

- Tian Tao 231kg Clean & Jerk at 96kg
- Li Wenwen 185kg Clean & Jerk at +87kg
- Huang Minhao 155kg Snatch at 67kg

I know I will be called over sentimental about this but I am just grateful to be able to watch such wonderful talents like Deng Wei, Kashirina or Lasha in this era of weightlifting. Those lifters are the Vardanians,Pisarenkos and Zakharevich’s of our time.
