Dang it. I was thinking this is a huge chance to put in an event without even having to travel for Tian Tao, Chen Lijun, Shi Zhiyong, Lu Xiaojun (or maybe not Lu since he and Li Daying can’t both go to Tokyo) and a big opportunity for them to make cheap WRs at home without competition (like Rostami’s 220).

Huang Minhao, Li Dayin, Yang Zhe and basically all women (after THA results are deleted) are capable of WRs.

Don’t forget Li Fabin’s snatch! Can Yuan Chengfei jerk 197? He tried before but missed; I don’t think it’s an impossibility.

What on earth is a Cheap Record? I know what a cheap comment is, and your is one.
No World Record is cheap regardless of the competition or arena or venue it has been achieved in.
When I see you making such a record, then come back here and write about “CHEAP” records.

Why do Iranians get triggered so easily in weightlifting?

A cheap record is one made at a meet where there’s no competition and other competitors don’t even peak, especially if the competition is on home turf. For an athlete to travel with jet-lag, then make his world record while competing kg-for-kg against fierce rivals who are peaked is much more of a challenge than for him/her to make that record in his/her home country in a competition that could be won with the opening lifts so anymore thereafter can be focused on a WR. With the new weight categories, it is even easier since the records aren’t mature yet. So I do consider these records to be “cheap” compared to ones made at the Worlds or Olys.

And no, I don’t have to make WRs to say this just like you don’t have to be a better doctor than your doctor to call malpractice. And yes, cheap WRs are still WRs and I’m happy with them. It was a light comment.
