My weightlifting coach here in Sydney, Australia (former member of Iranian National team in the 80’s and early 90’s who went to 92 Olympics (injured though) and won Asian Games) always calls Shahin the best technician of Iran. Unfortunate he never got to see more international success. His style and technique is evident in his current pupil, Alex Lee (of USA).
