Reverse Muscle Ups

Christopher Sommer posted a video of one of his athletes, Dillon Zirke, doing a Reverse Muscle Up.

The equivalent of something basic like a pull up for the pros (See Gregor Saksida’s Reverse Muscle Ups to L Sit Iron Cross).

One of the coolest ring exercises if you ask me.

Prerequisites:

  • straddle planche or harder ring strength elements
  • insane amount of pulling strength

One idea is to start of with just the negative part of the movement.

Shoulder Stand lowering to Inverted Hang by yours truly.

Note: keep the false grip

And then do it on boxes, like Jim from BeastSkills showed here.
